Jumped on the tube (using my oyster card.. god it's a lifesaver! hurry up myki with your system!) into the city. Decided to visit Harrods first as i knew they had a special Wizard of Oz promotion running. The whole store was decked out in WoO stuff.. it was amazing! If only i had been a few weeks earlier.. i could have bought limited edition ruby slippers!! But i had to settle for a wicked witch figure/table ornament/chrissy tree topper ;-)
After shopping around at Harrods, continued to walk the many streets of shops and finally found a shoe place called Office. They had so many pairs of boots! Ended up with a brown pair of boots lined with wool. So warm!!
As i was walking towards Hyde Park after a bit of window shopping, it decided to rain, which was then closely followed by snow! I didn't mind walking in the snow, but didn't know what the consequences would be in the long run.

After Hyde Park (which currently had a winter wonderland carnival set up) i decided to go visit Buckingham Palace. That place is huge! But the detail is amazing. The gates, the building.. everything is so particular and royal! I did feel sorry for the soldiers though who had to stand out in the rain and cold that day. Was shattered I had missed the changing of the guard that day too.. so decided to make up for it by visiting the Guard Museum. Walked all the way there.. CLOSED!! By now the rain was getting heavier.. was praying for the snow to return.
So wandered around a bit more looking at all the royal buildings within the area and stumbled on New Scotland Yard. That building is so plain and ugly!
Stopped into starbucks for a drink to warm up, then walked to Westminster Abbey. From there i went and saw Big Ben, Parliment House, the gate that blocked off access to 10 Downing St, the Horse Guard Museum, Trafalger Square.. and then i decided to head home.
Got back on the train, headed back to the house and decided to catch a double decker bus on the way home. Whilst waiting for the bus.. it began to snow.. and hard. It was amazing to see a street so bare suddenly become full of white!
After a big day of walking, had a quick bite to eat.. then uploaded my photos onto my laptop whilst watching CSI, then headed to bed.
