2 posts in one day.. go me!
Thought i'd fill you all in on what i did today.. here it goes :-)
Woke up at 4.30am.. yep, you read right.. 4.30am. Why did i wake up this early you ask? Well one of the girls in my hostel wanted to go to the famous fish market this morning to see the auction and have fresh sushi.. so she talked me and another girl into going.
So we caught the first train out of Asakusa to the area in which the market is located (cannot remember the name.. don't have my map on me) and had to walk in the freezing cold to the market. I even have a photo of a clock in the market to prove when we arrived :-P
When we got there though, we realised that 1. we has missed part of the tuna auction as stalls were already starting to cut their recently purchased produce and 2. they've decided to close off the auction to general public during winter. How annoying is that!?!
Walked around the market for a bit, then went into a sushi shop where the girls had fresh sushi. I wanted to try some, but the guy put wasabi in all the pieces so i missed out.. grr
We then headed back to the hostel and whilst the others went to bed, i had breakfast, wrote a blog entry then headed off to DisneySea.
DisneySea was so much fun.. a whole lot more people in the park today as it was a weekend so ride queues were insane, but i still had fun.
Got to see a few live shows, jump on some rides, meet some characters and take a stack of photos. Annoyed though, my camera battery decided to die.. again, so i went home early.. but it was super cold and i did something to my foot so i didn't mind, just wanted to stop walking.
Found that DisneySea is more for an older crowd (ie. teenages and above) whereas Disneyland is more for the little kids. You get to meet more characters in Disneyland without having to pay for a professional shot, but you get more rollercoasters and scary rides in DisneySea.
I have so much to write about this place, but it's better to explain it with pictures.. so i'll try and do that tomorrow for you all :-)
As i hobbled back to the station to head home, decided to see what time the Cirque Du Soleil performance was on for the day.. i got there 3 mins before it was meant to start which in jap time is super late.. haha
So i didn't buy a ticket and headed back to the hostel.
Now i'm just hanging around, having a bite to eat..
Off to London tomorrow. Making a stopover in Zurich.. only for an hour though, will be interesting. And it has been snowing in London too :-D
I better run.. i'm still kòtta from today! Loving the new jap lingo.. i want to be a gaijin who can speak some jap next time i come back :-P
