Look.. professional skates!!

Saturday was a non-stop day.
After my lovely sleepin of 1/2 an hour, steaming hot shower and yummy hot bread breakfast.. Martina, Rika and I wandered down to the local supermarket Lidl to buy some food. Lidl is like aldi.. so of course i had fun finding food. I got so excited when i found nutella!!
Also.. did i mention that fanta here in germany is yellow is colour but still orange flavoured? and orange coloured fanta is mandirin flavoured? haha.. so odd!
Bought a few snack things to last the week, including koala chips (lol, reminded me of home.. had to buy them).. then to the bakers to buy fresh bread and muffins.

We wandered back to the house, dropped off all the food and headed over to Lilly's for lunch. The germans have an obsession with donner kebabs.. it's crazy! Was so yummy to eat some good meat with garlic sauce. But once we finished the meal, it was time to pack up everything and head to the ice skating rink.
The 7 of us (Lilly, her son, her 2 italian visitors/friends (who love to ask me questions in italian about australia and i have no idea what they're asking me haha), Martina, Rika and I) all jumped onto a train, then a bus to the Eisbahn (ice rink).. which was oudoors. Talk about cold!

As Lilly, Martina, Rika and Johnny (Lilly's son) already had skates only one of the italians (the other just watched) and I had to hire skates. The only skates they had left in my size were the figure skating white skates.. i was super excited! I always hate the skates they have in aus at the ice rinks there (the hard plastic ones) so i was so happy to get the good skates here. But i noticed every person at the rink who owned skates or had to hire them all wore the ice hockey version skates.. it seems to be a big thing here. I was happy with my white ones so :-P to you all haha

It's is funny about the language barrier here. They asked me if i had ever skated before and i said yes, but that i wanted to learn how to properly. They understood that as i had never skated before.. so they got a real shock when 1. i got excited about my figure skate skates 2. i got straight onto the ice and moving 3. that i started to skate backwards, try spins and sudden stops. I LOVE SKATING!

I could have skated for hours.. well, i did for 3 hours non-stop.. but could have gone on for more.. but after a while everyone got tired, so we called it a day (it was 7.30pm by now) and went to an italian restaraunt down the road for dinner. A friend of theirs (cannot remember his name.. but he was really nice. i think he may have been johnny's dad) came with us to dinner and we got along well. He was telling me that he played professional ice hockey for 20 years.. i was so jealous!

After our very long dinner, we all piled onto a bus back to the station.. then onto a train home. I was so tired when we got back that i headed straight to bed. Didn't take me long to fall asleep.. since it was 11.30pm.. haha.
